Moreover, the first alarms were initially dismissed because they questioned the economic progress and the fundamentals of Western culture at large. This article reminds us of the difficulties of one of those first battles for something that seems so obvious to us today: the damage caused by pesticides both to humans as to the planet.

Based on that statement, what it is pursued is to modify the generalised conception for the period, sometimes unambiguous, of the idea of landscape as sublimation of geography.
