Abstract
El artículo propone que el juicio que formuló sobre Paolo Ucello, pintor del quattrocento, el autor de las vidas de artistas famosos Giorgio Varsari en el siglo XVI, gravitó como un cargo que lo condenaba como exponente de una vida fallida. A lo largo del texto se presenta al pintor y su obra y se revisa la coherencia del cargo de Vasari con la fortuna de su figura hasta el siglo XX.
This article proposes that the judgment made on Paolo Ucello, a quattrocento painter, byGiorgio Vasari, the author of The Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors, andArchitects, gravitated as a charge that condemned him as an exponent of a failed life.Throughout the text, the painter and his work are presented, and the coherence ofVasari's position with the fortune of his figure until the 20th century is reviewed
